Le français suit l'anglais
One month after landing in Toronto,
I can say that any doubts I may have had about moving here are gone. A stimulating
city rich in diversity and culture, there’s an energy that seems to just grab
onto you and draw you in. It’s a feeling that overwhelms because I feel like
the world is at my fingertips. Everything is
possible.
Moving to Toronto has helped me
to realign my life in order to better balance two different careers: one as a
writer/painter, the other as a flight attendant. As a flight attendant, the
cities I visit —
across Canada and around the world —
offer a rich playground for my creativity. Just the other week, during a
layover in Edmonton, I was able to finish writing a chapter of the novel I’m
currently working on. Writing on the subway, at the airport, in a hotel room, I’m
still writing — anytime,
anywhere. I do what I can to make the best of the time available to me.
In the last few months there have
been a lot of changes in my life but here, in Toronto — and perhaps for the first time in my life — I feel at home, like I’ve
arrived at the right place at the right time. And isn’t that what makes life
beautiful? To never really know what life has in store for us?
This is, in a way, a new
beginning. I invite you to come along for the ride and participate in the
adventure that awaits.
*****
vie — je me
